Yesterday LinkedIn released Australia’s inaugural list of #SkillsOnTheRise for Australia in 2025, a data-backed ranking of the 15 skills that professionals are prioritising now.
No surprise that AI is #1 but it is #2 that made me smile.
An oldie, but a goodie: Communication.
It’s something we all do every day, but rarely do we give it the attention it deserves. Do you
know your CQ?
CQ (Communication Quotient) can be defined as ‘the ability to communicate effectively
across different contexts.’
Key skills fall into four main areas: Verbal, nonverbal, written and adaptive/interpersonal.
So, take a minute to give yourself a quick CQ (Communication Quotient) check.
Communication Quotient (CQ) Self-Assessment
Instructions: Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5 for each statement, where: 1 = Strongly Disagree | 2 = Disagree | 3 = Neutral | 4 = Agree | 5 = Strongly Agree
1. Verbal Communication Skills
